Not that I don't have... well, anyone who reads here but here we go:

I am currently in Texas on vacation. I am also, as of Dec 25th, engaged

I have a very pretty ring with a pink center stone. There are pictures on the flickr.

Right now, I am sitting in my hotel room with my fiance snoring next to me... missing my dog and kitties and chatting with my friend Mikerson.


Things have changed a lot since I last updated. We have a fancy-pants new TV, both have new computers and we are "ok". We also got a great deal on RockBand 2 and our good friends just got it as well, so I'm looking forward to playing over Xbox Live.

My birthday is coming up in a little over 2 weeks. Yay Mikerson and (hopefully) Kevin will be coming to visit and we are "doing something" that I'm not supposed to know about.

We are in our place, but we do have a few more things to do before I think it is "guest ready", the main thing being getting my office situated and getting a twin mattress set for the frame we have.

Today, we bought a rug we've been lusting after for about 2 years today, that was pretty fun Shima is currently lounging on it and most of the other kitties have done the same at some point tonight.

I have glasses now, by the way. I'm "slightly nearsighted".

Work is going great! From last week til the end of August, we have the option of working 4 ten hour days and getting a day off of our choice. We have no real reason to get our usual minimum of 2.5 hours o/t since its always slow during the summer... and really, who wants to be at work during the summer? If things go to plan, I should have a four day weekend around the 4th and another around the weekend after my birthday. I'm definitely enjoying my work there too, it hasn't gotten boring or repetitive and my co-workers are awesome as well. I have yet to wake up and try to think of reasons why not to go into work like I did with HoDepot so very many times (and usually didn't follow through on, but still) which I think is a damn good thing, especially after 4 months.

So I now have one of those jobs where I'm amazed they actually pay me for doing stuff I would probably do for free. I've been working there just shy of a month and I love it.

It only took a year and a half of living in this area to find something that wasn't a deadend retail job where I dreaded waking up the next morning. Yay!

I have ordered K the rest of his computer bits minus the second set of RAM and his OS... both of which will be forthcoming provided he continues attempting to get a full paycheck.

I have also ordered tickets to the Eddie Izzard show coming to town in April. I'm very excited for that. I've also plans to get TiVo (actually, *2* TiVos) within the month thanks to a great offer I found. On top of all that, I've used some saved up gift certificates to get a very kickass camera. It's nice to be able to afford things and not just scrape by. For now I'm just trying to get everything I'd like for the new/old place.

MC is hanging out at the place with us now attempting to play mousecatcher. She's doing ok I think, considering how many little places they have to hide. Our other kitties are hanging out at the soon-to-be-done other place. Speaking of, my kitchen countertop was installed today and I have running water. Now all I need is a toilet, porch, my kitchen/hall/bathroom flooring in and I'm good to go. Pics of some of the progress is on the flickr page as well.

I also has an Xbox 360 as of a couple weeks ago.




Still no house, but getting closer on that front.

That being said... I'm an unemployed bum, I'm still stuck in this house and it'll be a year at the end of the month.

My life is lovely. Thanks for reminding me.

On the bright side, I do have good friends who care about me... a boyfriend who still puts up with my bullshit and some amazing animals.
